To Cable or Not to Cable…?

As most of you guys already know I recently moved into a new apartment. When many people move, one of the first things they do are to pick out furniture and get cable and internet. Well I have the furniture but I have yet to get the cable or the internet. I am working on the internet part and trying to figure out what is the best and most reasonably priced way to do it, but I have chosen to forgo the cable. Actually, I signed up with Comcast to receive cable an found out that I had a dead cable connection. To make a long story short, something that could have take a week to finish ended up getting pushed back week after week without me being notified and billed might I add for $161. I am still in the process of getting them to remove the bill because I NEVER had cable, equipment, or a single cord. So leave me the heck alone. Anywho…so now I have my DTV converter, my antenna and my netflix and I am quit happy. I realized that I am not missing anything at all that comes on cable except for a ton of TRASH TV and I can relish in all the trash I want on the internet. If there happens to be anything I am just dying to watch 9/10 it is on the internet the next day. So looks like it’s a win win for me right, including the fact that I am saving $100/month. I would have NEVER guessed in a million years that I would one day decide to not get cable. This isn’t to say that I will never get it, but for right now I am ok without it and am really enjoying the monetary savings as well as still being able to keep up with all the shows I would normally watch on the internet. Yay me.

YAY YOU is right. Cause while I’m sitting up here with 5,000 channels and nothing to watch I should have gone your route. Cause a $1 saved is DEFINITELY a $1 earned! And a sista could take that these days.
